A Northern California transplant, Joyce attended UCI (Zot! Zot!) for undergrad and Chapman for graduate school and has been an Orange County resident for the past 20 years. She holds a Masters in Special Education with both mild/moderate and moderate/severe credentials. She started her career in education as a Special Education instructional aide for Laguna Beach. From there she became an Education Specialist in Cypress School District and transitioned to IUSD where she continued to be an Education Specialist at Lakeside, Jeffrey Trail and Plaza Vista. Currently, she is a Teacher on Special Assignment for the Special Education Department. When she is not at work, you can find her chasing after her three young children, eating dark chocolate, and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
