Session Resources: goo.gl/8vXydb

Picture this lesson: Close Reading + Chromebooks + Google Classroom + Google Docs + Google Slides… all in 3rd grade!?!?! Come see how it turned out!

In the Common Core, students have a new relationship with text. In this session, we’ll look at examples of using a variety of tools from the Google Suite to support the major shifts in the K-12 ELA/Literacy standards, including Close Reading and an emphasis on expository text.

Consider this:

How can Google MyMaps be used with Literature or summarization?
How can Google Docs be used for to reinforce active reading strategies?
How can Google Forms or Drawings be used with lessons on Literary elements?

We'll see examples of all of this, and more!

We will also look at some resources that support the CCSS ELA Speaking and Listening standards.
