Anyone who has dabbled in PBL knows that the addition of managing a project, on top of managing content, learning, behavior, and assessment can be a daunting task. In truth, this is one of the main reasons that teachers abandon the potential of Project Based Learning. This session will focus on tools and processes to execute Toyota’s Kanban method of project management to put the management of PBL on to the students/groups to free up teachers to do the important work of facilitating, assessing, encouraging and connecting.

During this session we will:

Discuss some cultural components to PBL and share tips on leading as a teacher.
Add Kanbanchi App to our Google Drive.
Be assigned groups and launch a project.
Work with group to practice Kanbanchi app.
Finish with Detailed walkthrough of app and app features.
